HALO Encourages Support for Demining Programs in House Appropriations Hearing
On April 2nd, 2025, Executive Director of The HALO Trust (USA), Chris Whatley, provided testimony to the U.S. House of Representatives National Security, State Department, and Related Programs Appropriations subcommittee during the Outside Witness Day Hearing for the Fiscal Year 2026 budget.
The testimony encouraged increased support for global demining and weapons security management programs and highlighted the importance of State Department Conventional Weapons Destruction programs in making America safer, stronger, and more prosperous, while serving critical humanitarian objectives.
