NextGen Advocacy Network

The HALO Trust's NextGen Advocacy Network is for college students and young professionals 35 and under who are passionate about creating change and supporting humanitarian efforts around the world. This is your chance to make a real difference while gaining invaluable skills and connections!

The U.S. Government is the world’s largest funder of humanitarian demining. But as global conflicts increasingly put civilians at risk, engaging Congress is essential to secure resources to make land safe and enable communities to rebuild. By mobilizing Congress to expand this critical support for demining, NextGen Advocates play a hands-on role in bringing about a safer, more prosperous, and mine-free future!

Sign up to save lives today!
By taking action, you will:
  • Make an impact: Your advocacy will help save lives and transform communities across the globe.
  • Get hands-on experience: Learn from experts how to work directly with elected officials and advocate for real change.
  • Gain expertise: Develop a deeper understanding of humanitarian action, conflict issues, and international development.
  • Build connections: Network with other young professionals in the field by participating in campaigns and other professional development opportunities.

Level Up Your Advocacy!

Earn points for every action you take—unlocking exciting new opportunities and experiences along the way. Climb the ranks to become an Advocacy Ambassador and be recognized as a leader in the fight against landmines.

Here’s what you can achieve at each level:

  • Contact your Members of Congress to make your voice heard and help save lives!

  • Dive into HALO’s incredible work, from landmine clearance to explosive ordnance risk education.

  • Celebrate your impact with exclusive HALO swag—stickers, buttons, and more to spread the word in style!

  • Earn a certificate honoring your dedication to saving lives.
  • Join strategy calls with HALO’s Advocacy Team, sharing your insights to help inform future campaigns.
