Program Management

HALO has been working in Somaliland since 1999 and continues to put scale onto the problem to get rid of the mines and UXO threat

Across the 14 countries that HALO works in, we have over 8,000 local staff – from deminers to senior local managers – and 35 expatriate managers.

HALO’s programs are grouped under Central Asia, South East Asia, Horn of Africa, Southern Africa and the Caucasus & Balkans.

HALO’s HQ administration is small, and based in rural South West Scotland. There is one executive director, supported by regional desk officers and a finance department.  All spend much of the year in the field.  The HQ also has two administrators.
